Sad news about a much loved friend.
"PETALING JAYA: The head of the Securities Commission Internal Audit Department was killed in a freak accident at her home in Section 11 early yesterday.
Pritha Rachel Lucas, 48, died when her car rolled down the slope of her driveway and smashed into her as she was closing the gate at 1.55am.A neighbour, who heard a loud thud and thought burglars had entered Pritha’s house, alerted police who found her body underneath the car.It is understood that Pritha had returned home and opened the gate with a remote control but was unable to close it with the same gadget. She was believed to have alighted from the car without pulling up the hand-brake. It is understood that she was closing the gate manually when the incident occurred.
State police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said investigations revealed that there was no foul play. "
What a sad day for so many of us who knew and loved Pritha so very much.
I knew Pritha through my cousins Romina and Assunta. I have known her since I was about 8 or 9 years old. My memories of her are of us laughing together or her joking around. Her smile and sense of humour will forever be etched in my memory. She was an amazing, warm and loving person who will be so sorely missed.
My prayers and thoughts are with her family.

Pritha Lucas funeral will be held on Thursday 12th July 2007 at 10am Malaysian Time.
Pritha "Akka" was more than a cousin sisters friend, she was a cousin sister to us. The news of her passing away was a very difficult news for me to accept as she kissed my children and parents goodnight just hours before as they were saying their goodbyes after my nephews confirmation. I heard the sad news on sunday and until now find it diffcult to accpet as it has happened to someone so close to us. I will always remember her the way I last saw her and will never forget my shorty akka.
My Jesus forgive and forget your sins and welcome you to heaven a place you richly deserve for forgoing your pleasure to look after your mothers needs. Rest in Peace my shorty akka

I will always remember her quick wit and engaging smile. I don't think I have ever seen her without that lovely smile on her face.
Rest in peace, dear Pritha.
You are in God's loving arms.
